Privacy Notice
1. About this notice
This notice explains how Delvara (“we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with this website, delvara.ai, and with enquiries made through it, including requests for a scoping call.
It does not cover materials shared with us during a diligence engagement. Those are governed by the terms agreed for that engagement.
2. Who we are
Delvara is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us at valentine.akponor@delvara.ai.
3. Information we collect
When you visit the website. This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from our own website. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. This is used to operate and secure the website.
When you make an enquiry. The enquiry form on this website does not send information to us directly. It prepares an email in your own email application, and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it. When you send that email, or write to us directly, we receive the information you include, which may be:
- your name, firm, role and work email address;
- the transaction type, sector and indicative timing you select;
- your brief description and anything else you write in the email.
Please do not include confidential deal information, documents or sensitive personal information in an enquiry.
4. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and arrange a scoping call;
- to keep a record of our correspondence with you;
- to operate and protect this website;
- to comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not add enquiry details to marketing lists without your permission.
5. Our lawful basis
We process enquiry information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before any engagement is agreed, and for our legitimate interest in responding to and managing business enquiries. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it. We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where necessary: with the providers who host this website and our email, with our professional advisers, and with authorities where the law requires it.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take steps intended to ensure your information remains protected as required by applicable data protection law.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including record-keeping and any engagement that follows, and then delete it. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider in line with its own practices.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information. No transmission over the internet, including ordinary email, is completely secure — which is one reason we ask you not to send confidential information through this website or in an initial enquiry.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- ask for it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent, where we rely on consent.
To make a request, contact us at valentine.akponor@delvara.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or to the data protection authority where you live.
11. Children
This website is intended for business users and is not directed at anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
